2021 ISOCM Conference: Submit an Abstract
The Ninth International Conference on Orthodox Church Music, sponsored by the ISOCM will explore topics related to the theme of "Church Music and Topography: City, Village, and Monastery."
The conference will be held 7-13 June 2021 at the University of Eastern Finland, School of Theology, Agora AT100, Yliopistokatu 4, Joensuu
Abstracts may be submitted for consideration using the form below, and will be reviewed by the organizing committee for the 2021 conference.
The organizers invite proposals for presentations dealing with different aspects of the general theme, for example:
local traditions and transmissions
spatiality in music and hymnography
centre and periphery
travel and pilgrimage
cities and the City (Constantinople)
The conference programme also allows for free papers.
On account of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Conference will take place as a hybrid event – both on site (University of Eastern Finland, Joensuu campus) and online.
Participation can be offered as a presentation of 20 minutes or a poster.
Presenting at the event is not required to attend the conference.

The deadline for submitting abstracts of 250 words is 31 January 2021.
